Muesli with Greek Yogurt and Berries

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, which I am sure is a statement that most of you have heard before.  By eating the right breakfast filled with all the right ingredients,  you are setting yourself up for the day by helping keep those unnecessary sugar cravings away.

Here is what I ate for breakfast this morning.
Muesli with Greek Yogurt and Berries

Ingredients:
Almonds
Cashews
Walnuts
Hazelnuts
Brazil nuts
Pumpkin seeds
Sunflower seeds
Linseeds
Sesame seeds
Rolled oats
Shredded coconut
Non fat Greek Yogurt
Mixed berries
A good quality Whey Protein powder
Small amount of Milk – Almond, Rice, dairy, dairy free

I’m not one for measuring out exact ingredients, as a healthy portion size is generally the size of the palm of your hand.

When I make a big batch of this muesli, I generally will put in an even portion of each ingredient with more oats.

I love to top the muesli with some non fat Greek Yogurt, mixed berries and mix through a good quality Whey Protein powder.  The greek yogurt and Whey Powders are great sources of protein and will help speed your metabolism up while keeping hunger away.

A small bowl of this muesli will easily satisfy you till lunch time, as it is filled with protein, fibre and all of the good fats that your body requires and desires.   Most importantly this recipe contains NO ADDED SUGAR! YAY!

Enjoy!
