Cacao Popcorn

Cacao powder is jam packed with antioxidants to keep you feeling happy and healthy.   Cacao is a dietary source of magnesium, which is important mineral for a healthy heart and the production of energy.  It is also a good source of serotonin, dopamine, anandamide and phenylethylamine which are associated with a feeling of happiness and help ease depression.  Chocolate gives us that positive happy feeling but also contains a lot of sugar,  by swapping to raw cacao you are consuming a natural chocolate with no added sugar.

Here is a yummy and not so naughty recipe for Cacao Popcorn, it is soooo yummy and you can feel guilt free having this little treat!

Ingredients
10 cups of plain unsalted popped popcorn
2 tablespoons of 100% natural honey
2 tablespoons of unsalted butter
2 tablespoons of natural cacao powder (sifted)

Directions
Place the popcorn into a large bowl or baking dish lined with baking paper
Melt the butter in a saucepan
Gradually add the Cacao powder and honey till all combined and melted
Pour the mixture over the popcorn
Let the popcorn set
Serve and enjoy
